Why I Use the KJV
God said in His Word that His Word is pure.

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a fire of earth, purified seven times. (Ps. 12:6)

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. (Prov. 30:5)

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. (Ps. 119:140)

I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. (Ps. 119:162)

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul:
the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. (Ps. 19:7,8)

God promised in His Word that he would preserve His Word.

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a fire of earth, purified seven times.
THOU SHALT PRESERVE THEM, thou shalt keep them from this generation for ever. (Ps. 12:6,7)

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Matt 24:35)

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (Mark 13:31)

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (Luke 21:33)

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.  And this is the word by which the gospel is preached unto you. (1 Pet 1:25)

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. (Ps. 119:160)

God places a very strong importance on His Words.  I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Ps. 138:2) Jesus is the Living Word.  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:1,14)

This is why I will not believe that God's Word is only perfect in the "originals."  Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the Word of God is only perfect in the "originals."  The originals are long lost, and believing that only they were pure contradicts God's promise to preserve His Word.  THIS IS A TEACHING OF MAN, NOT GOD.  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (1 Cor 2:13)  Is the "God's Word is perfect only in the originals" theory "words which the Holy Ghost teacheth" or "words which man's wisdom teacheth?"

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you:
but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
(1 John 2:27)

Thank you, Lord, for preserving Your Words to this very day. (Ps. 12:7)
Thank you Jesus, for the price that you were so willing to pay. (Jn. 10:17,18)
Thank you Spirit, for helping me to know what to say. (Lk. 12:11,12)
