Why Should We Warn People of the Coming Tribulation?

Camp Grayling, Grayling, MI

If the SPIRITUAL aspect (i.e., people getting right with God) of the end times is indeed more important, then WHY should we try to get the word out about the New World Order?  Why should we warn them of the coming persecution?  The real question is WHY SHOULDN'T WE?  The Bible says that we should not be ignorant of the devices of the devil, lest he should get an advantege over us (II Cor 2:11), and that we should expose the works of darkness (Eph 5:11).  NO, we cannot defeat this thing on our own, but the Bible is clear that God Almighty will Himself defeat it.  We cannot stop the rise of the New World Order or the Antichrist.   All we can do is delay its coming.  By informing people that don’t know, we can slow it’s coming and prepare them for the things that are coming.

Most of them aren’t ready for the coming persecution, and they would be more likely to be offended of the Gospel and fall away. “[F]or when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.” (Matt 13:21)  Isn’t it better for them to be prepared for possible persecution, rather then letting them hope in the rapture to deliver them from these things?

The Bible is clear that the World Government (New World Order) will be set up before the rise of the antichrist, and the antichrist will rise out of it.  There will be ten kings ruling the ten regions of the world, and the antichrist will subdue three of them. See Daniel chapter seven:

After this I saw in the night vision, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth, it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.  I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things . . . I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them . . . The fourth beast shall be the forth kingdom upon the earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and brake it in pieces.  And the ten horns out of this kingdom are the ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them, and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
Dan 7:7,8,21,23,24

It is obvious that the One World Government will rise before the appearance of the antichrist, which itself will occur BEFORE the catching away (see below). The NWO [the forth beast/ forth kingdom] will “stamp the residue” (the remnant of believers) before the antichrist appears to “make war with the saints.”

“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come except there come a falling away [apostasy] first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” II Thessalonians 2:1-3

The day of Christ and our gathering together unto Him will not come until after there is apostasy, a falling away, in the church, AND the antichrist is revealed.

Jesus said that we would see wars and rumors of wars, but this would only be just the beginning of the end.  “All these are the beginning of sorrows.  THEN shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.” Matt 24:8,9.  But wait, where is the rapture? We’re supposed to be raptured before all this happens!!”  The Bible is clear that we’ll be hated and killed by all nations BEFORE the rapture. So why shouldn’t we warn and prepare people for certain persecution rather than lead them on that they will be raptured beforehand?  The passage above says that we will be hated OF ALL NATIONS, and that includes America.  Even if the rapture is pre-tribulation, the Bible is clear that we will suffer persecution before it.  And the Bible is the truth!!!!!!

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (II Eph 5:11).  The Bible says that we should reprove those depraved people who are doing these wicked deeds, and reach out to them with the gospel.  But this does not mean putting your head in the sand and turning a closed eye to the things that they are doing.

A prudent man forseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished (Prov. 22:3). We should warn others of the coming evil, so that they prepare themselves both spiritually and physically.  If they are ignorant of what’s coming, or refuse to believe that such things could happen, they will pass on and suffer the brunt of the affliction because they weren’t prepared for it.  This advice was so important that God put it in the Bible twice. Prov 27:12: “A prudent man forseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.”

Thus it is very important to expose what is going on and what is planned by these wicked men for two reasons: to prepare the Christians for persecution, and to warn the wicked to flee the coming wrath of a just God who will repay them fully for their iniquity.
