The Oracle - "Christian" evangelical CD-ROM

(the_oracle, The_Oracle, The Oracle, THE_ORACLE)

These photos taken from the_Oracle website the-oracle.org.     (You can zoom in on the Macromedia flash thing to blow up the photo.)   If still you don't believe me, you can order one here: http://www.the-oracle.org/ordering.     (For some odd reason there is no link from the main page to the ordering page.)

This CD-ROM is supposed to be a computer game type thing where a user clicks on different things to read articles, hear soundbites, and watch video clips that are designed to help lead him to God.   The_Oracle is described as a down to earth (i.e. worldly) college student who is to be their guide through the game.   It is supposed to give the user an interest in the "game," and encourage them to come back, but it seemed rather pointless, and I don't think anyone would be willing to leave their action blood and guts games for this tame, actionless one.   Who really wants to sit around and look at short videos and sound clips?   Of course, some might, especially those who are prone to wander around aimlessly on the Internet for hours.

I have a copy of this disk and it is really freaky looking. It has the Illuminati's all seeing eye over the pyramid, as seen on the back of the one dollar bill (slightly modified)   It also has other Satanic Illuminati type symbols on the bottom and back of the case.   Along the bottom of the case it reads "i see.   i see stuff.   i know all kinds of things.   i'm kinda like a giant eyeball.   yeah, that's it.   in some ways, i'm kinda like a big, giant eyeball. i am the_oracle."   And the brand of "Christianity" it showcases is a very carnal one.   For example, in the section known as the dorm room, which is supposed to be The_Oracle's dorm room, click on the Matrix movie poster, and The_Oracle will tell you how he likes movies in which a lot of people die, or "are carried out in body bags" are he says it.   But the Bible says "The Lord trieth the righteous, but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth" (Ps. 11:5).   Not to far from this poster is one with partial nudity with a link to an article about "Finding God in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition (i.e. soft core porn)".   And over to the left, you will find a bottle of beer being poured into a mug, linking to an article claiming that the existence of beer is proof God exists.   This will only create carnal, fleshly Christians.   What drunk, when told that beer is a proof for God, will stop drinking?   This gives them reason to keep on drinking.   Likewise with the soft porn and the violent movies (and these are only a few examples).   Plus "the Oracle" has a Homer SINson poster and a Homer SINson toy on top of his computer monitor.   What new convert will be convinced to stop watching such unholy, abominable trash when they see it endorsed by the Christian character "the Oracle?"   Don't believe that they would put such stuff in a Christian computer game?   See Campus Crusade for Christ's description of this CD-ROM   They ADMIT the "Proof for God in Six Packs" and "Proof for God in SI Swimsuit Edition" articles!!   Also on this CCC page it says "novus ordo seclorum" instead of "dum volvo, video disco".   "Novus ordo seclorum" means "New Secular Order" or "New Order Without God"!!
