Alive in Christ News

The long school year is finally over.   This summer, I will write articles and finish up the Bible search page.   Also, please note that as of Sept 9, the domain www.aic2001.com will no longer work.   Please set your bookmarks to www.AliveinChrist.us.   If you are looking for something on aic2001.com, replace the domain with aliveinchrist.us.   For example, http://www.aic2001.com/messianic.htm becomes http://www.aliveinchrist.us/messianic.htm.

The summer is over and school starts next week.   I will try to write one or maybe two articles a week, depending how classes go.   Hope you have enjoyed this summer and the articles that I have edited during this time.

I ditched the Bravenet.com hit counters.   The counters were supported by pop-up adds that came up when you loaded the page.   They are popping up with really nasty ads for semi-pornographic screen savers, worse than the adds on Tripod.   So I spend (or wasted) half a day to figure out how to set up my own counter.   Also, I set up a system that will automatically set up the top and left frames when you type or click on an outside link to something other than my homepage.   For example, try http://www.aliveinchrist.us/post-trib.htm

New domain name added.   You may now access my site at www.aliveinchrist.us as well as www.aic2001.com.   I will keep aic2001.com for at least another year, after that my site will be only avaliable at www.aliveinchrist.us.

I had been looking for summer employment for about a month, when I asked the Lord in prayer for a job, He told me, "You already have one."   I asked Him again for a job in the same prayer, and He responded the same, "You already have one."   What could this mean?   I had had the impression that I should work on articles for the website since the semester had ended.   So I decided to work on articles, wondering if that is what God was wanting me to do.   Or maybe He had a job waiting for me.   I didn't know.   But as I worked, the scholarships started to come in.   Some were even unexepected surprizes.   Now I know that God wanted me to work for Him on the website articles, and He is paying me by giving me scholarships.   Praise the LORD!   To God alone be the glory!!

I have been noticing that lately Tripod has been putting more ads on their sites than they used to.   They used to just put one pop-up ad, then two, and now they are placing both pop-up ads and banner ads on my pages.   Many of these ads are tailored to the content on my site.   This itself is not a bad thing, but many of them are links to very liberal and apostate "Christian" sites.   Some of these include Left Behind's Prophecy Club, sites selling NIV's and other false Bibles, even some sites selling Catholic "bibles."   Check out my page on the Origin of the Eucarist for ads for "Miraculous Medals" and other Catholic idols.   There was also [ads for] the email mailing list put out by the very liberal and anti-fundamental Bishop Spong of the Episcopalian Church, the "christian" denomination that now appoints admitted sodomite bishops.   If all the false doctrine was bad enough, they started including this lust-inticing ad of a half-naked woman.   Imagine clicking on my page about holy living, and seeing that in a pop-up?   Tripod has run ads I disliked before, like ones for unholy music, but none of them went as far as this one.   And so I decided to take my site elseware.   And now, Sept. 9, I noticed that they are putting banner ads in all my frames, not just the main one.   This screwed my frames, and my tripod site now looks a mess.   (The frames are a new feature as of Aug 18.)

Well, here is the good news.   My new ad-free url is http://www.aic2001.com   It is working as of 9:22 PM EST on Sept 9.   I plan on keeping the Tripod site around as a mirror of the main site, in case it ever goes down.   I do not plan on updating it as regularly.
